Weekly Parsha Meditations

Connect deeply to the weekly Torah portion and to yourself

Use Rebbetzin Chana Bracha’s parsha meditations to connect deeply to the weekly Torah portion and to yourself.

The Book of Bereshit
Parashat Bereshit (Bereishit 1:1-6:8): The first parasha of the New Year introduces the Divine Eternal Light, which we, Jews, have the ability to call to us, at every moment, to illuminate the dark times of our life. This week’s parasha meditation helps to light up the darkness of our unsettled confusions, and engender a settled mind and clarity – Calling out to G-d for the Hidden Light
Parashat Noach (Bereishit 6:9-11:32): As the nights are growing longer we increase Torah study, we go inside, seeking protection from the storms in Hashem’s holy words of Torah. This meditation will help you overcome the waves of your worries, and feel b’Noach – at rest, in complete peace with yourself – Building Our Personal Sacred Space
Parashat Lech Lecha (Bereishit 12:1-17:27): The parasha meditation for Lech Lecha is designed to help us let go of all the things that weighs us down whether physically, emotionally or spiritually, and enter into a deeper relationship with our higher self – the Divine spark within – Fixing the Level of Going – to our Higher Selves
Parashat Vayeira (Bereishit 18:1-22:24): The meditation for this week’s parasha is especially designed to facilitate healing. Just as Hashem revealed Himself to Avraham in order to heal him from the wound of his circumcision, so is Hashem’s healing energy especially accessible this week, if we open ourselves to receive it. Find 10-15 minutes to sit down with yourself, and with Hashem’s help you will experience an opening and healing in your life –  An Opening for Healing Revelation
Parashat Chayei Sarah (Bereishit 23:1-25:18): At this time when the weather is pleasant, is a perfect time to practice meditating in the field as Yitzchak did in this week’s Parasha. I hope you will have opportunity to practice my Parasha Meditation, which is designed to help us feel Hashem’s presence in nature and spiritualizing the garments of our souls – With Hashem in the Field
Parashat Toldot (Bereishit 25:19-28:9): In our psyche, there are spiritual, emotional and physical blocks, which we must remove in order to reconnect with the truth we knew before we were born. I have designed this meditation to remove the blocks in the way, and facilitate connection with the Source of Living Waters within – Revealing the Living Waters
Parashat Vayetze (Bereishit 28:10-32:3): This week’s parasha meditation comes to facilitate building our relationship with Hashem, and our inner core. I personally believe that Hashem is shaking us up at these times, to make us really pray from a deeper place within, so we can become closer to Him and to our inner selves, and bring Mashiach already. Let us all try to build both outwardly, while also stepping inwardly, to become the very best people we can be! –  Stepping Inwards on the Ladder of Ascent
Parashat Vayishlach (Bereishit 32:4-36:43): Netivat Shalom teaches that the life of a Jew is an eternal struggle. Ya’acov’s struggle with Esav’s angel of evil continues throughout all future generations. It represents our struggle with our yetzer hara and desire for physical pleasures for their own sake. This week’s meditation will help you in the work of peeling off the outer layers of ourselves – our physicality, until we remain alone with our soul, like Ya’acov – Alone with Your Soul
Parashat Vayeshev (Bereishit 37:1-40:23): During the time of redemption and revelation we will be freed from the chains of our self-imposed prison to accomplish our brightest dreams. Yosef teaches us how to emerge that that from the darkest pit, the highest height, by believing in his dreams. This parasha meditation facilitates reconnection with our brightest dreams and aspirations – in perfect preparation for Chanukah – Tuning into our Dreams, Visions and Aspirations
Parashat Miketz (Bereishit 41:1-44:17):Playing dreidel (spinning top) is a very deep minhag (custom). By playing dreidel we can nullify the four dark Kingdoms of our psyche… Tune into this week’s meditation to work on transforming the inner snake – the shadow side of your soul into the brightest light! Igniting the Darkest Shadow Sides of your Soul
Parashat Vayigash (Bereishit 41:1-44:17): This week’s parasha is about making peace in the family. The meditation will help you deal with challenging relationships and find inner peace between the contrary aspects of yourself. By means of this process it will be possible to get in touch with the meeting point between Yehudah and Yosef within your own soul – Reaching the Meeting Point of Contention
Parashat Vayechi (Bereishit 47:28-50:26): This week is also called Shabbat Chazak, when we complete one of the Books of the Torah, and the entire congregation rises and together calls out “Chazak Chazak V’nitchazaik”– “Strength! Strength! Let us strengthen ourselves!” Just as we have completed one of the Books of the Torah, May G-d help us be strong and complete all of the loose ends of our lives, physically and spiritually. Hashem blessed me with a meditation to help us get in touch with our innate אַהָבַת יִשְרָאֶל –Ahavat Yisrael – Love of all Jews, in order to be able to truly unify Hashem in the world when reciting the שְׁמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל – Shema Yisrael“Shema Yisrael” – Unifying at Heart
