Tree Planting / Garden of Emuna Campaign

Help us raise $1,800 to reach our $10,000 campaign goal by Pesach!

Baruch Hashem my tour was very successful! Our supporters donated more than $20,000 for our Tree Planting/Garden of Emuna, Scholarship and Building Campaigns. Considering the current financial situation, it is a real bracha!

This success was due to the many people who opened their hearts and gave an amount that they felt comfortable with. It really is true that every donation, no matter how small, makes a big difference.

If you have not made a donation to Midreshet B'erot Bat Ayin this year, please open your heart and donate now. Our goal is to raise another $1,800 by Pesach so that we can close this year's Tree Planting/Garden of Emuna Campaign.

Many people have also requested to give their ma'aser money to Midreshet B'erot on a monthly basis. These monthly donations of $18, $36, $54, $72 and up allow us to provide scholarships to students in need of financial assistance, and help to subsidize our special programs and trips.

For the cost of one Shabbat guest per month, you can help to provide young women with the life-changing experience of the Torah of Our Mothers. Click here to learn more about setting up automatic monthly donations through credit card, bank transfer (hora'at keva), or PayPal.

Thank you to all the holy people who helped organize and host events, and helped arrange my transportation and accommodations. I couldn't have done it without you. Our students' ability to flourish at B'erot and our continued success will be ensured due to your assistance.

Thank you also to all those who donated, especially those who stretched themselves because they believe in our Midrasha, and to those who came to see me, learn from me and who assisted without me even noticing.

May Hashem greatly bless you for your kindness!

With blessings of Torah and the Land,

Chana Bracha

We only need to raise $3,000 to meet our goal!

Please help us close our campaign and be able to start the landscaping for our Garden of Emuna! If you have made a pledge and haven't yet sent your donation, please do so right away. If you have been meaning to make a donation, but haven't had the time, please make an extra effort to get your donation in before Pesach.

Planting fruit-trees on the land of Israel is an important part of the mitzvah to settle the land (Yishuv Ha'aretz). Regarding the verse, "you shall possess it and you shall settle in it… " (Deut. 11:31) the Vilna Gaon explains that through planting the Land of Israel we will merit to posses it. (Kol Hator Chapter 1:9) Actually, the task of Mashiach ben Yosef, which precedes the final redemption, is to drive away theimpure spirit from the Land by gathering in the exiles, rebuilding Jerusalem, and planting the desolate areas. (Kol Hator Chapter 2:117)

Therefore, when you plant a tree in the gardens of Midreshet B'erot Bat Ayin, you are not only beautifying the land, and supporting Jewish women's return to their heritage and to their Land from the four corners of the earth; your donation to plant in the land of Israel also brings the redemption one step closer.

Torah Teachings on Nutrition, Health and Waste Prevention

Many people think that the Jewish laws concerning eating consist mainly of the extensive and complex dietary laws of kosher and non-kosher foods.

Does mainstream halacha have clear guidelines concerning wholesome lifestyles? What can we learn from the Torah about preserving our environment, composting and recycling rather than throwing everything away? Contemporary society has long neglected the laws pertaining to health and waste prevention, which probably explains why there’s so much disease and flabbiness among those with modern-day lifestyles.

Do any of the many health directives of the Talmud and later Rabbis have any relevance in our time?
Although the Rambam lived almost a thousand years ago, more and more dietary experts are “rediscovering” the timeless truth and effectiveness of his teachings.
